Steve Jobs Shoots Amazon Kindle, Charms The Audience With His Charisma Yet Again
If you ask me about my reaction on Apple’s Rock and Roll event, I would say it was much on the expected lines but not enough to make me rock n roll (because we expect more from Apple). The great moment of the event was to have Steve Jobs back on the center stage and he was as rocking as always. The two product i.e. iTunes and iPods were the center of attraction of the event (more and more). Jobs has also given his first interview to David Pogue of New York Times after his liver transplant. Jobs says that they have decided to portray iPod Touch as a gaming device and thats why they left out camera so as to make it cheap. When asked about the ereader market and Amazon kindle this was how he shoot Amazon out.
He said that Apple doesn’t see e-books as a big market at this point, and pointed out that Amazon.com, for example, doesn’t ever say how many Kindles it sells. “Usually, if they sell a lot of something, you want to tell everybody.
And when asked about his health he chuckles
I probably need to gain about 30 pounds, but I feel really good. I’m eating like crazy. A lot of ice cream.
And we are all waiting for him to announce Apple Tablet which is considered to be cutting-edge.
