The rumor dusts of Apple’s tablet is just about to settle down (because of its forth coming launch) but wait… Apple Fan boys might get another reason to blog for coming 6 months or so. Chinese Language New paper Commercial Times (translated in English) has reported today that Apple plans to launch a 22-inch touch enabled all in one Mac in 2010 along with its 21.5-inch and 27-inch iMacs. The manufacturing will be done by Quanta and Sintek Photronic will be one supplying touch screen panels. This is the first time any thing related to a 22-inch touch device from Apple has surfaced, so consider this just a rumor as of now. Never the less this sounds quite logical. Apple after the success of iPhone looks very much determined to move every thing to touch – right from iPod Touch to the brand new multi touch Magic Mouse to the almost real and about to be released Apple Tablet. Apple will quite strategically make sure that touch screen computing becomes as much a part of our DNA as mouse based computing is now. Then when we get used to touch they will slowly start killing other forms of I/O technologies, that is exactly what they are doing with iPods and that is what they will do with Macs. I for that matter have been a die hard supporter for what I call as touchability. That is the way forward and that is what I call evolution and that is exactly where Apple is leading us. Long live touch-ability.
