It’s Like A Festival Time For Geeks: Apple’s iTablet or iSlate or iPad (iDontKnowTheNameYet) Launch Week

apple-itablet-event-invitesThe much anticipated, the much hyped, the much talked about and the much rumored gadget which can be sort of a tablet computer or an e-reader or kind of an entertainment box or hybrid of all of this with imaginary name such as Jesus Tablet (as Apple Fanboi will put it) or iTablet or iSlate or iPad (iFillInTheBlanks) speculated to be coming with the carriers Verizon or AT&T (which will provide 3G services) with screen size rumored from 7 inch to 11 inch and with the expected price tag ranging from $600 to $1000 (too wide a range) is predicted (still not sure) to be launched by Apple on 27th January this week [and I just wrote the longest sentence ever written ~ 110 words! more follows].

Its the week when bloggers will go crazy (as I have), news aggregators and tech blogs will be filled with just one sort of news, people like this one will dedicate their next 20 blog posts writing about it (and still after that he will not be satisfied), giant companies like Google and Microsoft will not dare to release any of their products this week just for the fear of losing them out in the dustS of this mysterious device. Only the date of unveiling i.e. 27th January 2010 and the name of the company launching it (of course Apple) is confirmed and all other specs regarding it are just the figment imagination of few bloggers. But how can anybody get inside the brains of Steve Jobs? Who can forget what iPhone has done to this world and changed the way we use mobile phones with a shake-up sentence “There is an app for that“. No matter what the specs will be, people have already started considering it the as next revolutionary gadget on the lines of iPhone. This might change the way we work or the way we play games or the way we sit in front of a computer or the way we watch movies or the way we do anything in front of a our computer, forever. So, get ready for few earthshaking announcements from Steve Jobs as there will be something more than just the announcement of this mysterious device.

Keeping in view of the expected announcement of Tablet from Apple, we at TechDusts will be concentrating more on this mysterious product this week. This is just the kind of introductory post of what you can expect this week from Apple. So keep waiting for more from us as there will be polls, almost live blogging of the event and much more. As they say “Expect The Unexpected”.

And one more thing…. Steve reportedly has said and I quote “This will be the most important thing I’ve ever done

Update 1- Quarterly results of Apple are out and they are awesome. Apple now is a $50 billion company. Steve quotes in the release

If you annualize our quarterly revenue, it’s surprising that Apple is now a $50+ billion company

The new products we are planning to release this year are very strong, starting this week with a major new product that we’re really excited about.

Update 2- Even a fake commercial of Apple Tablet is out. Have a look

Man I am going crazy.

Take my words – This week will surely make its place in the history. If Apple Tablet is a big hit then for one reason OR if its a disappointment (well..) then it will be remembered as the most hyped products ever!
