ChatRoulette’s Founder Is Just A 17 Year Old Kid From Russia

Are you bored of the internet and Facebook? Do you want to have some adventure on internet? Then try out ChatRoulette (I think the site is down now). ChatRoulette, a weird website that lets you connect face to face via a webcam to any random user (stranger) from anywhere in the world. The site which gained lot of popularity in no time for the sheer reason of adventure of talking and watching a stranger from any part of the globe. Also it is becoming a NSFW (Not Safe For Work) site as it is becoming too perverse with increasing nudity and sexual activity.
Till now nobody was aware of who has created this site. But the NYT got a mail from its founder revealing his true identity. It is being created by Andrey Temovskiy, a high school teenager from Moscow who is just 17 years of age (you can view the content of the mail in NYT). He has developed the whole website himself and also faced problems in scaling up the site when the users grew in large numbers. He has created the site just for fun and he doesn’t have any business goals in his mind. There is no publicity being done for this site but it has gone viral just with the word of mouth. I also want to experience the adventure but the site is down for now. It may have got lot of traffic much above the expected as it has been covered by NewYorkTimes and major bloggers. Fred Wilson, famous venture capitalist wants to bring the founder to New York and also hinted in investing in his website (this is huge for 17 year old guy).
Is this the way social media will evolve? Till now we share photos and also our private life to the world in Facebook and Twitter. Video chatting(or what ever) with total strangers coming next?

i always love it when i hear of young people with ideas(crazy sometimes)that make a hit…i wish him the best…goes to show that ideas are everywhere.
just think and do create something stupid or crazy and you may make a hit..no kidding
