Steve Jobs Wears A Tuxedo and Not A Turtleneck In The Launch of iPad’s First Ever Commercial
I have never seen Steve Jobs without a turtle neck in recent times. But he was seen in a tuxedo (you heard it right) in recently concluded Oscar Event. This change of outfit from turtleneck to tux is just for the love for insanely great iPad. It was the day of unveiling iPad’s first ever commercial at the the Oscars (Watch the ad below). iPad ad was featured twice at the Oscars. This is the perfect place to generate pre-launch hype around iPad which is hitting the stores on 3rd April. Jobs just knows how to market his products.
My verdict: Just enjoy the ad and Don’t get trapped in this hype, wait for the second generation iPad. Period.

I agree with you about waiting for the 2nd gen iPad………BUT, truthfully there is STILL a whole set of of people out there that WILL get this 1st gen model. There are quite a few “techies” (such as myself) that can’t help but get every new Apple product just to play with it.
Then there is the next group of techies who were completely disappointed in the lack of multi-tasking, forward-facing camera* (see more on this below), and the fact that it’s really just a big iPod Touch.
But at the same time. There are STILL other “regular” people who would like to get it. I have gotten alot of feedback from people who say they would get this for their grandparents or parents, who do one task at a time ANYWAY and would love something extra mobile, with a large screen, and simple to use. All in all, i think no matter what, the iPad WILL sell…..and sell well!
I look forward to the next post!
**Regarding the camera issue…..i’m sure you have heard the rumors. I wrote two articles about this on my site as well if you are interested. Check out http://www.techknowbabel.com and search for iPad and iPhone for some EXTRA interesting info on the matter.

ya i agree with you that the first gen iPad would not be adopted by techies as it is only suited for light browsing. The one thing i want desperately in second gen iPad is multitasking.
Isn’t?
i checked your blog…. you seems to be a apple fanboi
hahahha. well, i’m a “TECH fan boy” and the truth of the matter is it’s hard to be one without being a fan of Google and Apple. They are the best at innovation! I’m open to all things though. I never liked Microsoft but I give them credit where it’s due and I’m really interested in their “Windows Phone 7 Series” as well as their “Courier” (which I’m writing an article on at this moment)

yeah….. u can’t just avoid Apple or Google. One point i want to add about Microsoft “Why is Microsoft taking so much time in launching any product”? Courier is also being talked about since a yr but we still don’t know when it is going to be launched…. Microsoft has one of the biggest research labs bigger than Apple or Google but they are not able to turn their ideas and research into products.
That is a GREAT point! Whatever happened to their “Surface” technology?? They announced it years ago, put it into production for high end places like Casino’s, etc……but have YET to launch any consumer grade version of it! Look how long it took them to finally get on the ball with a new mobile OS too! I think the only category they consistently innovate “ahead of the pack” in is their gaming division! Xbox360 has a TERRIFIC online experience and with the new “Natal” project, they have stirred up alot of excitement! Maybe that’s the where the camera recognition technology from the “Surface” project went!

You have just made my point much stronger by giving these examples…. thanx… It remains to be seen how windows phone 7 is going to make its mark in mobile arena.

okay this is pretty interesting to say the least lmao
Well obviously it was a big deal. They kept the ipad a secret and it seem like no one even knew about it until the product launched. I think the ipad is amazing!
Properly, its about knowing what’s right and what’s wrong.
