Twitter Bug – All Followers Lost! [Update]
Twitter seems to facing with some unusual problem right now. Our own Twitter account – @TechDusts right says that we have 0 followers and 0 following. This is also true for my own Twitter account. The Lists part seems fine. @TechDusts had some 5k followers and until some hours back and this almost certainty is a bug. I have checked various Twitter account and all them had 0 followers and 0 following.
Even the followers page says ”You don’t have any followers just yet. You probably will soon, though!“.
More importantly Twitter is not allowing you to follow any one and gives a following error message [snapshot]
Hope this is just a minor bug and soon things will be back to normal soon.
Update : Twitter has just update the Twitter Status and said that this happened beacause of the auto follow bug and things will be back to normal soon.
Twitter says :
We identified and resolved a bug that permitted a user to “force” other users to follow them. We’re now working to rollback all abuse of the bug that took place. Follower/following numbers are currently at 0; we’re aware and this too should shortly be resolved.
Update 2 :Thanks for restoring our followers, Twitter.! All back to normal it seems.
