Twitter_256x256

From now onwards you don’t have to update your status message but you have to tweet your status message in Twitter. Twitter has done a minor change to its interface by changing the wording of update button to tweet which is basically used to update your status message. It is the most obvious change which doesn’t require any explanation. Its too obvious we tweet, we don’t update.

Steve-Jobs-TuxI have never seen Steve Jobs without a turtle neck in recent times. But he was seen in a tuxedo (you heard it right) in recently concluded Oscar Event. This change of outfit from turtleneck to tux is just for the love for insanely great iPad. It was the day of unveiling iPad’s first ever commercial at the the Oscars (Watch the ad below). iPad ad was featured twice at the Oscars. This is the perfect place to generate pre-launch hype around iPad which is hitting the stores on 3rd April. Jobs just knows how to market his products.

porn-detection-stickThe heading of the post looks as if I am going to talk about pornography, which is quite awkward for a tech blog. But we are here to introduce you to a gadget that will expose and embarrass you if you are too much into pornography. I know that most of you teens out there hide your porn collection of photos and videos in some hideous location in your computer, so that nobody can find them. But your life can be disrupted by a new device called “Porn Detection Stick” from Paraben. This device is a USB stick, which can be plugged into any computer, and it can detect illicit images from your hard drive. You can’t also see some porn photos and delete them as it can also scan deleted photos (Don’t know how its working, may be through some data recovery software). Guys have some sigh of relief: It can’t detect pornographic videos present in your computer (only photos), so you can go about watching them.

Who Wants To Challenge The iPad?

Jesus TabletApple’s so called Tablet computer iPad is unveiled with not much of the fanfare as expected. Right from bloggers to Twitterverse have gone all the way in finding faults in it without realizing its true potential. No camera, No Multitasking, No Flash, and blah blah blah. Even the name “iPad” had become a source of humor for many. But more importantly post iPad launch,  competitors have started redesigning their product line and many others are now planning to launch their product (after seeing the disapproval of iPad). Keeping in view of the disappointment created by iPad, some other players want to use this opportunity to pitch their product in a much better way.

I will start with Amazon whose Black n White e-book reader Kindle is in direct competition to the colorful iPad. If Amazon wants to stay in the market it will either have to cut down the price of Kindle or will have to add some colors to Kindle with not much price hike. Lately,  Amazon is believed to have acquire Touchco, a start-up that specializes in touch screen technology. Amazon will be planning to add touch technology to Kindle (which otherwise uses buttons) in order to keep up with iPad and other e-book readers from Sony etc. (More information in New York Times).
